The class of 2016 have achieved our best ever results in all the Welsh Government key performance measures with 100% of our year 11 pupils passing five or more GCSEs. The number of pupils achieving five or more A*-C qualifications including English and Maths has increased a staggering 10% on the very good outcomes achieved in 2015.
One of the key reasons for our continued success this year has been the provision of intensive, tailor-made intervention sessions for those pupils in need of the most support. The time invested by our staff and governors coupled with the hard work of the pupils and their families, mean these excellent results are a reflection of the strong team ethos that exists at St. John Lloyd.

These results coincide with the start of an extensive new building and refurbishment programme at our school. This scheme will include the construction of a new science block and improved sports facilities as well as providing new specialist technology, art and catering rooms. This will ensure future cohorts will have the best possible opportunities to build on the success achieved this year.
